Omnya Abdelwahab is a media scholar, filmmaker, and Ph.D. candidate in Media Arts & Studies at Ohio University, whose interdisciplinary research investigates how generative artificial intelligence reshapes human cognition, authenticity, trust, and visual media. Combining computational social data analysis with creative practice, her work examines the intersection of AI, media production, audience perception, and digital culture. She also serves as a documentary jury member for the Broadcast Education Association (BEA).
